Way back when I was in fourth grade, I met the most wonderfully kind, bright, happy girl who very quickly became a best friend. Growing up, I spent a lot of time at her house where from my view, it was always full of sunshine and laughter and I just loved spending time with her whole family. I have the most joyful memories of my childhood with her by my side. As young adults, we went to different universities (Go State! haha) but still kept close and even though her life has had her living all over the world through the years, she’s never seemed very far away. When she recently reached out to me to photograph her youngest daughter for senior year, I was beyond thrilled! They drove down from Northern Michigan and we spent a fun filled evening reminiscing, hugging, laughing and capturing the magic of this very special time of life. I’m so delighted to get to introduce Kate, St Mary Cathedral School, Class of 2018! Kate is as kind, bright, and bubbly as her mama and every time I looked at her through my lens, I had to catch my breath! She is a talented actress with the Cathedral Players and a passionate athlete in track, volleyball, archery, softball, and basketball. She’s an enthusiastic cheerleader and a fierce competitor in her school’s Mock Judiciary Program. Kate has a smile and spirit that lights up the world around her and has a heart full of beautiful dreams for her bright future ahead. To be her photographer was such a gift and so much fun!! A very special thank you to my friends at the Hartland Music Hall and Parshallville Cider Mill for giving me the opportunity to photograph Kate at such meaningful locations. We’re so grateful! I hope you enjoy a little glimpse into our time together.
Wherever life takes this world traveler, I know it’s going to be an amazing adventure and I can’t wait to watch her fly!
Thank you, Kate! Have an awesome senior year!! xoxo
